How to Manually Create a Set
Sets are a list of targeted terms and/or phrases used in the DrawRoom's Game Mode. If you want to import a list of terms from another online resource, such as a flashcard website, please read the article How to Import a Set linked at the bottom.
1. Select My Library from the top menu bar and then select Sets from the dropdown menu.
2. From your set library, select Create Set in the top right.
3. Complete the required set information and then select Next at the bottom.
A. Set Name
The set name should identify the set so you can easily attach it to a DrawRoom activity. The set name is required.
B. Language
The language identifier helps organize the sets by language in your library, a department library, and the Charlala Library (if submitted).
C. Cover Image
The optional cover image will display in your library and on student assignments. You may use an image from the image library (powered by Pexels) or upload your own image.
4. Select Add Terms Manually.
5. Write the term in the target language. Including the definition in L1 is optional and currently isn't used for any activity but may be used in the future.
A. Term #
You may adjust the number to change the order of terms if desired.
B. Term
Include the term in the target language (L2). Terms are displayed to students in the DrawRoom's Game Mode.
C. Definition
Optionally write the term's definition in the native language (L1). The definition currently has no function in any of Charlala's tools but may be used in the future.
D. Delete
Select the red delete button on the right to delete it. Deleting a term cannot be undone.
6. After adding your first term, you may Add Terms, Save the set, or Delete the set.
A. Add Parts
Select Add Parts and repeat step 5.
B. Save
Select Save after you're finished adding terms. Your set will be added to your set library.
C. Delete
Select Delete to permanently delete this set and all linked terms. This action cannot be undone.
7. After selecting Save, the set will be added to your set library. The next steps are optional but improve the overall experience using your set. Select Return at the bottom.
8. Locate the set in your set library and select Preview.
9. Review each term's Incorrect terms. When using the set in the DrawRoom's Game Mode, the correct term will be mixed with the incorrect terms. You may adjust the incorrect terms to make the activity more appropriate (e.g., if January is the term, March, November, and August are more appropriate incorrect terms than Monday, It's cold, and Week.) You may adjust the incorrect term using the dropdown menu or the edit button. Changes will be saved automatically.
10. Congratulations! Your set is ready and optimized for use in the DrawRoom's Game Mode. Please read the article below, How to Host the DrawRoom's Game Mode, to use your set in a DrawRoom activity.
